LA MIRAGE CONVENTION CENTER – CONTRACT AGREEMENT FOR CATERERS
This License Agreement (“LICENSE”) is made and entered into by and between the LA Mirage Convention Center, hereinafter referred to as the “Licensor,” acting by and through its authorized person, and the person or entity who seeks to use the facility, hereinafter referred to as the “LICENSEE,” for the following express purposes and conditions, all of which the LICENSEE hereby covenants and agrees with Licensor to keep and perform:
Terms and Conditions for Catering Vendors at LA Mirage
- Licensing Requirement
All catering vendors providing services at LA Mirage must hold a valid license under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (FSS Act 2006). It is the responsibility of the catering vendor to ensure that their license is up-to-date and in compliance with the FSS Act 2006 for the event date. - Submission of Form C License
The catering vendor must submit a valid copy of their Form C license to LA Mirage no later than [insert deadline] prior to the event. The license must clearly indicate compliance with the FSS Act 2006 and must be valid for the scheduled event date. - Adherence to Food Safety Rules and Guidelines
In addition to compliance with the FSS Act 2006, the catering vendor is required to follow all food safety and hygiene regulations as prescribed by the Government of Kerala. This includes, but is not limited to, proper food handling, storage, transportation, and serving practices. - Water Usage Policy at LA Mirage
- Water from the LA Mirage premises is strictly prohibited for drinking purposes and is to be used only for cleaning activities.
- Additionally, if the juice counter is found to be without sealed, purified water bottles, the respective counter will be closed immediately. The catering team will not be permitted access to the counter until the issue is rectified.
- Local Government Guidelines
The catering vendor must adhere to any applicable catering, food service, and public health guidelines established by local government bodies, including but not limited to the Koratty Panchayat. These guidelines are mandatory and should be strictly followed during the preparation, transport, and serving of food. - License Validity for Event Date
The Form C license provided must be valid on the date of the event at LA Mirage. If the license is due to expire before the event, the vendor must renew and submit the updated license to LA Mirage prior to the event. Non-compliance may result in cancellation of the vendor’s services. - Verification and Non-Compliance
LA Mirage reserves the right to verify the authenticity and validity of the license provided by the vendor. If the license is found to be invalid or expired, or if the vendor fails to meet the food safety requirements, LA Mirage may terminate the vendor’s services without further notice. - Liability
The catering vendor shall be solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, including those under the FSS Act 2006, Kerala state food safety rules, and local guidelines. LA Mirage assumes no responsibility for any legal issues, penalties, or other liabilities arising from non-compliance. - Event Cancellation or Service Termination
LA Mirage reserves the right to cancel or terminate the services of the catering vendor if they fail to provide a valid Form C license or adhere to food safety regulations and local guidelines. Any costs, losses, or damages resulting from such cancellation or termination will be borne by the vendor. - Indemnification
The catering vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless LA Mirage, its representatives, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, or damages resulting from the vendor’s failure to comply with the FSS Act 2006, state regulations, or local government guidelines.
TERM OF LICENSE
- Use of LA Mirage Premises during, before, and after the event.
General Guidelines
- Live cooking stations are not allowed within the garden banquet hall. Prior approval must be obtained from La Mirage staff onsite for live cooking stations.
- Catering teams should seek prior approval from La Mirage staff before making any arrangements.
- Any counters set up by the catering team, which must also cover the floor area with carpet.
- If La Mirage tables are used by the catering team, they should be covered properly.
- Caterers must obtain prior approval to connect to La Mirage electric power sources. Only allocated power sources should be used for the requested purpose, and no other power outlet should be used. The maximum power allocation is 1 kW, and if more is required, the caterer must arrange for a power generator.
- The client’s catering team is responsible for cleaning up waste related to food and drinks.
- The entire La Mirage premises are under CCTV surveillance, except private spaces.
- Parking Policy for Catering Vendor Vehicles at LA Mirage
- Please note that vehicles belonging to the catering vendor are strictly prohibited from using the LA Mirage parking facilities. Any violation of this policy will incur a fine of Rs 2,500.
- However, bikes belonging to catering vendor employees are permitted to be parked within the LA Mirage premises, provided they follow the instructions of the security guards on duty.
Security Deposit
The agreement requires a security deposit of Rs 20,000 to be paid upon signing the contract. This amount is refundable after the event upon clearance by one of our staff members.
Violations and Fines
- Any type of waste should not be thrown on LA Mirage or any neighboring premises, including waste from Juice counters or main Serving Counters. Any violation of this will attract a fine of Rs 10,000 (per incident). The caterer must clean it at their own expense.
- Any damage to LA Mirage Premise decoration trees by catering team vehicles will attract a fine of Rs 50,000. The caterer must repair it.
- Any damage to the Grass carpet in the garden banquet will attract a fine of Rs 40,000 (per incident).
- Any damage to the round table will attract a fine of Rs 7,500, Chair – Rs 2,500, and Rectangle table – Rs 2,500.
- Catering teams should not use LA Mirage Parking Facilities within 2 hours of the event (except bikes. Bikes should be parked in designated areas). Violation of this will attract a fine of Rs 2,500 per vehicle.
- Directions given by the LA Mirage Security Team should be followed, any violation of this attracts a fine of Rs 2,500 per incident.

PERSONAL AND ABANDONED PROPERTY
The LA Mirage Convention Center and its representatives assume no responsibility for any property placed in the facility or on the premises or any property left on the premises after the event is over.
JURISDICTION
For all legal matters, jurisdiction shall be Thrissur District.
